From areas like Mint Hill and Southpark to fast growing communities like The Union County Real Estate Market, the south and southeast suburbs were first to develop and continue to grow attracting a large portion of folks interested in Relocation to the Charlotte Metro Real Estate Market.  The areas are home to some of Charlotte's most elite communities, historical and quaint small towns, high end shopping, championship golf courses, 5 star hotels and regional Malls.

Southpark is located roughly 5 miles from the Uptown Charlotte Real Estate Market. The area encompasses Southpark mall which is Charlotte's most upscale shopping district. It hosts fancy stores such as Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus along with many high end salons, boutiques and restaurants. Southpark is also a major employment area with a population of workers over 42,000. There are also several fine hotels located in the area.

Southpark Real Estate ranges from Multi Million dollar mansions to old converted ranch style homes. Southpark New Homes Construction and New condo projects have sprung from the areas streetscape. There are several New Southpark condominium complexes under construction and the City of Charlotte plans to make the community one in which people can walk to work and shops.

Ballantyne covers about 2000 acres at the Southern edge of Mecklenburg County. It sprung up from farm lands in the early 1990's and continues to grow in the Residential and commercial sector. Included in the area is the 5 star Ballantyne Golf Resort and Spa, a corporate park, a growing number of restaurants and shops not to mention dozens of Ballantyne New Home communities. The areas newest feature is the Ballantyne Village Theater where you can dine on cheese and wine while watching an art film.

***image2***In the small town of Pineville NC the area is best know as being a shopping district. It is home to the Carolina Place Mall with a massive 6 million square feet of retail. As you cruise through downtown Pineville you will swear it is 1960 when you see the antique shops that fill the brick store fronts that make up Pinevilles original business district. And don't miss the James K Polk historical site honoring our 11th president. The Pineville Real Estate Market is comprised mainly of older communities.

Matthews is probably best know for its historic, pedestrian friendly downtown. Most of The towns population of 25,000 have moved there over the last decade. The Matthews Real Estate Market is best known for its affordable Single Family homes, its active recreational departments and strong schools. The also have a very active art league. The town also boasts satellite campuses for both Central Piedmont Community College and Wingate University.

For years the town of Mint Hill has been cautious about its growth. This town of over 20,000 residents is located in the East Southeast portion of Mecklenburg County. It has successfully been able to retain its small town charm while opening up the opportunity for growth. The Downtown Mint Hill area has recently been enhanced with new sidewalks, crosswalks and new streetlights and new leaders continue to encourage development. The Mint Hill Real Estate Market is wide ranging. New Home Communities continue to spring up carrying with them a significant price tag. Mint Hill is also rumored to be the new Mecca for the relocation of many Health and Wellness companies looking to expand in the Charlotte Metro Area.

Once considered to be a rural County, Union county is now the fastest growing county in North Carolina. Located to the Southeast of Mecklenburg County it is home to 14 municipalities ranging from tiny communities to those with there own police department. The towns closet to Mecklenburg include Weddington, Indian Trail and Stallings. Despite growing traffic issues and school overcrowding residents continue to be drawn in by the lure of lower taxes, high quality schools and larger scale Union county New Home Construction neighborhoods with an affordable price tag.
