Plaza Midwood
Developed in the early 1920’s as a streetcar suburb, Plaza Midwood has gone through many phases resulting in an architectural heritage. In the late 1970’s Plaza Midwood residents formed the Plaza Midwood neighborhood association. Plaza Midwood is comprised mostly of groovy 30 and 40 somethings mostly empty nesters. The community has a very excepting laid back, non judgmental attitude.
Plaza Midwood has a 2 block area where every weekend you can find people barhopping, gallery shopping and storefronts with people getting tattooed. It is quickly becoming known for its arts and culture and is challenging North Davidson ( NODA) as the premier Arts community in charlotte.
Residential Real Estate consists of Old Victorian, converted mill style homes, condo mid-rises and new construction single family homes.
